IGF在实验性近视眼后极部巩膜重塑过程中起调控作用[10]。Seko等[5]已经从实验性近视发现许多生长因子,包括bFGF、TGF-β、IGF-1、IGF-2等都能促进巩膜的生长、增殖,在体外培养的巩膜软骨细胞和纤维细胞中加入IGF-1和IGF-2后均可促进巩膜软骨细胞的增殖,抑制纤维母细胞的增殖和胞外基质的合成。另有研究也发现,IGF-1刺激巩膜细胞增殖的过程与刺激胚胎期巩膜生长的机制相类似[11-13]。Tokoro等[11]也发现IGF-1与近视的发展有关。本研究结果显示:近视组血清IGF-1浓度明显高于对照组,差异有显著性(P<0.01)。三种近视程度组(低、中、高)的血清IGF-1浓度经两两比较,差异均有显著性(P<0.05),血清IGF-1浓度与近视程度呈正相关(P<0.01),也与眼轴长度、屈光度存在正相关性(P<0.05),而与身高、体重、角膜屈光力无明显关系(P>0.05)。这些结果都说明了IGF-1与近视的形成、发生、发展有关。
然而,本研究尚不能回答血清IGF-1浓度与近视的因果关系,况且IGF-1与近视的关系研究只是开始,因此,IGF-1与近视的关系有待于进一步的分析和研究。
