Abstract： Objective To Report primitive neuroectodermal tumors originally in a 10-year-old boy of the left optic nerve. Methods Using ocular B-ultrasound， the orbital MRI scan， HE staining and immunohistochemical Methods to have a preliminary observation. RT-PCR of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded was used to analyze pathological tissue of the left optic nerve. Results Ocular B-ultrasound， the orbital MRI scan Results showed that the left optic nerve is obvious thickening； HE staining of the tumor tissue display a Rossettes- corporations structure； Immunohistochemistry report that CD3 (-)， CD20 (-)， CD99 (+)， Desmin (-)， GFAP (-)， Ki-67 (+ >75%)， CK (-)； EWS - FLI1 fusion gene expressed in the tumor cells using RT-PCR test. Conclusion We found the primitive neuroectodermal tumors originally in optic nerve， the fusion location is EWS - FLI1.
