Abstract
AIM: To evaluate the short-term clinical effects of laser peripheral iridectomy (LPI) on primary angle closure (PAC).
METHODS: Thirty-three cases (49 eyes) with primary angle closure accepted laser peripheral iridectomy. The changes of intraocular pressure (IOP) and the depth of anterior chamber angle were observed before and after surgery.
RESULTS: During follow-up (9.93±4.82 months), the IOP was (17.69±3.25 mmHg on average) before surgery while it was (16.33±3.42mmHg) after surgery. The anterior chamber angle was widened (100%). The IOP of 45 eyes (92% ) was under control and 4 eyes (8%) was not good, including 1 eye (2%) with second surgery, 3 eyes (6%) with drugs.
CONCLUSION: LPI is effective to reduce intraocular pressure and widen anterior chamber angle for PAG patients in a short term.

摘要
目的：评价激光周边虹膜切除术(laser peripheral iridectomy，LPI)治疗原发性房角关闭(primary angle closure，PAC) 患者的短期临床效果。
方法：对诊断为PAC的患者33例49眼行LPI, 观察术前、术后眼压及房角变化。
结果：通过（9.9±4.8）mo的短期随访，LPI治疗前眼压（17.69±3.25）mmHg，治疗后终末眼压（16.33±3.42）mmHg，房角均有不同程度的加宽（100%）；45眼眼压得到控制, 有效率92%，4眼(8%）眼压控制不佳，其中1眼（2%）手术治疗，3眼(6%)予加降眼压药物治疗。
结论：对于PAC患者，LPI治疗短期内对降低眼压、加宽房角有效。
