　　Objective：To evaluate effect of selective laser trabeculoplasty(SLT)on primary open angle glaucoma(POAG)with different age group.

　　Method:Sixty eyes diagnosed as POAG were divided into the young group(30-44 years old)，the middle-aged group(45-59 years old)and the old group(over 60 years old)according to new standardization of mankind age stage issued by the United Nations.Intraocular pressure(IOP)was examined at 1stday，1stweek，1stand 3rdmonth after SLT.

　　Results:There were statistical differences on IOP reduction among the different groups at 1stday，1stweek，1stand 3rdmonth after SLT，except between the young group and the old group at 3rdmonth.

　　Conclusions:LT has different effect to treat POAG with different age group，which implies the correlation between effect of SLT and age.
