·A 27一yea r—old man was stung by a bee presented withsevere pain in the right eye． It was associated with
reduced vision and swelling of the eyelids． A retainedstinger was ；dentified at the center of the cornea．su rrounded by dense corneaI oedema and numerous foldsin the Descemet s mem brane． The sting was removedcompletely．He subsequently developed persistent cornealoedema and heterochromia iridis
